Waipipi Bird Park

Waiuku has a great tourist attraction with the opening of the Waipipi Bird Park in Waipipi Wharf Road. For Ron Peake, this is the culmination of ten years of hard work, as he and his wife Amily worked on their 16 acres of farmland, transforming pasture into an avocado orchard and six acres of gardens and aviaries. Many of the 300 parakeets, lorikeets, parrots, cockatoos and conures have been hand-reared and for the past few years Ron has also been buying birds from all over New Zealand to produce breeding pairs.
Apart from building the 70 aviaries, Ron has planted an extensive garden with trees and shrubs to attract native birds as well as fruit trees, bottle brush and olive trees to help provide food for his bird population. Two ponds have been created, home to a variety of ducks and swans.

We have an 18 hole Japanese garden gold course which is something for the whole family to enjoy. We have a charge of $3 per person.

White swans and ducks, can be feed by the children. We also have ponds with golden fish.

We can provide a garden area for birthday party's, bring your own food and drink.
